ATV & SNOWMOBILE RIDING
The ATV/snowmobile trails in the Black Hills are managed by the Black Hills National Forest Service. Visit their web site to get more info and to download maps. We recommend the Northern Hills and Mystic Recreation Maps through Avenza. If you are bringing your own machine, you'll need to purchase a permit from the Forest Service. Permits can be purchased online or at local are retailers such as Mystic Hills or Steel Wheel which are both located nearby. If your ATV/UTV is not currently licensed, we recommend getting a temporary South Dakota license before your arrival date. You can call the Lawrence County Courthouse for more information 605-578-1862.
